Seagull have used a cunning design for mounting the rudder and elevator servos direct to the tail fins, giving a direct control system that make this INNOVATOR one of the smoothest and precise trainers you will ever fly. Seagull have designed this INNOVATOR using the very latest design programmes and using precise Laser cutting technology to give this model a strong yet light airframe to help withstand the stresses of flight and offering an exciting flying experience.
Innovator is designed to be the answer to the often asked question "Can I get an electric plane that looks and flies like a glowfuel highwing trainer, takes off grass runways, and has plenty of power for windy conditions?"

Our Innovator is larger than many of the available electric powered models of this famous aircraft, with a wingspan of 1.4metres or 55". The 182 comes with full house radio controls which means aileron roll control, and that makes it a lightweight advanced learner wing (modifiable if you wish), and the aileron wing with micro servos pre-fitted. This means we have here a learner model which is possible to learn on by yourself, though that is not wise. Ailerons add agility which is desirable, but pushing it a bit for totally raw beginners on their first flight. At first, you need a little help with aileron wings if you have not already learned to fly. There are three ways that are proven to work: either an instructor will help, or a computer model flying simulater will do it by practising in the evenings at home before taking the model out, or you can go to a club where advice is available for the first couple of flights.

Our model offers the medium flying characteristics, and is quick and straightforward and can be recommended to the beginner to model flying with some help.
The full ailerons wing allow advanced trainer style flying from this model. It is similar in outer size to many of the nitro liquid fuel engine model planes in Ireland, but it weighs about a kilo less. This means that Innovator has a slower landing speed than the heavier alternatives, which is much less stressful for beginners, but in the air it has comparable performance to the heavier planes.
